Clark’s Snacks Business Ethics Policy applies to all employees, including temporary staff, contractors, consultants, and third-party representatives acting on behalf of Clark’s Snacks.
Core Principles
Integrity and Honesty
All employees must act with honesty and integrity in all business interactions, both internal and external. False statements, misrepresentations, or deliberate omissions are strictly prohibited.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations
Employees must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, industry regulations, and internal company policies, including those related to food safety, labor, environmental protection, and business conduct.
Prohibited Conduct
Bribery and Corruption
Clark’s Snacks strictly prohibits all forms of bribery, kickbacks, or improper payments to any government official, supplier, customer, or employee for the purpose of obtaining or retaining business or any unfair advantage.
Modest, business-appropriate gifts or meals may be acceptable, but anything excessive or meant to influence decisions is prohibited.
Forgery and Falsification
Employees must not create, alter, or use any false or misleading documents, records, certifications, or communications. This includes but is not limited to:
- Financial records
- Safety or inspection logs
- Production or quality data
- Time cards or payroll documents
Conflicts of Interest
Employees must avoid situations where personal interests conflict—or appear to conflict—with the interests of the company. This includes:
- Having a financial interest in a supplier or competitor
- Accepting gifts or favors that could influence decision-making
- Using company assets or information for personal gain
Confidentiality and Data Protection
Employees must safeguard confidential information related to products, customers, financial data, and employee records. Sharing sensitive information with unauthorized parties is strictly prohibited.
Reporting Violations
All employees are encouraged to report suspected violations of this policy to their supervisor, the HR Manager or QA Manager
Confidentiality
Clark’s Snacks will provide a method for reporting potential violations confidentially.
No Retaliation
Retaliation against individuals who report ethical concerns in good faith is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action.
Enforcement and Disciplinary Actions
Violations of this policy will be investigated promptly and thoroughly. Confirmed breaches may result in disciplinary actions, up to and including:
- Termination of employment
- Legal action
- Cancellation of business contracts (for third parties)
